Collagen treatment procedures
- read the history of the patient's disease to determine whether it may be the therapy collagen,
- interview in order to determine whether there was ever any allergy to bovine collagen, or other cases of allergy, and whether the patient does not accept corticosteroids or is not subjected to immunosuppressive therapy,
- interview to determine whether a patient does not plan a series of meat desensitizing injections (at that time may not accept collagen products),
- attempt to perform lidocaine hypersensitisation (collagen implant contains the anesthetic), and collagen.
Contraindications to the use of collagen treatments:
- patients who ever had allergic reaction to collagen may not undergo the treatment,
- collagen implant can not be used to enlarge the breasts, or be injected to bones, tendons and muscles,
- absolute contraindication to comply with implant surgery is a pregnancy and breast-feeding.
